Yerba Buena Gardens is the crown jewel of San Francisco. This urban oasis, situated above the Moscone Convention Center in the South of Market area of San Francisco hasattracted over 2.3 million visitors a year since it opened to the public in 1993. Since the opening, MJM has managed the day-to-day operations for the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency (SFRA).  Features of this award winning facility include the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial waterfall and the Esplanade Garden, a 12 acre grassy meadow filled with trees, flowers and public art. MJM also works closely with the individual managers of the surrounding facilities which include: two museums, Metreon entertainment center, several restaurants and the Rooftop which has a Children’s Garden, a playground, a historic Carousel, Bowling Center and Ice Skating Rink. In addition, MJM handles the permitting for all of the events (over 150 a year!) that take place in the Gardens as well as facilitates the coordination of the event production.
